orinaiya
endometriosis, flooding periods and vitex

I was diagnosed with endo in 2008 and had surgery for a ruptured ovarian cyst. I went to a naturopath after my surgery because my gynecologist told me my estrogen was too high and that was causing the endo. My naturopath did a saliva test and found my estrogen level to be normal but my progesterone and testosterone were low. He put me on estrosense and mastos breast oil for my breast cysts. I have been taking estrosense for 3 years. Then stopped taking it for about a year. Now this year my ferritin levels were checked and they were below 5. I am severely anemeic and am on feramax to supplement my iron. My periods are flooding going through a pad every 1/2 to 1 hour for 3 days, even through the night. Someone told me you had changed your formula and that estrosmart plus would help my flooding periods is this what you would recommmend? I have been retaking the original estrosense for the last few months but it has not helped my flooding

Estrosense is not Lorna's product. Now that Lorna has started her own company she has her own line known as the Smart line. Lorna has decided not to put milk thistle in her Estrosmart due to research regarding breast cancer and milk thistle. EstroSMART (4 a day) is what you should be taking. It will help with both the cysts and heavy periods. Estrosmart Plus is something Lorna recommends more for fertility, however if you find Estrosmart is not helping after a few cycles you can try the Plus in conjunction. Lorna does not usually recommend more than two Estrosmart Plus a day but you can mix it with Estrosmart, for example, two of each a day.

How are your iron levels? Low iron and heavy periods are a vicious cycle as low iron causes heavier periods.

I am attaching a link to a similar question. Please look as Lorna makes recommendations. I am also attaching a link to a Lorna's free book An A-Z Woman's Guide to Vibrant Health.

Creating links

There are two ways of creating links:
  • [Example](http://www.example.com) produces a link like this: Example
  • The fully qualified address, like http://www.example.com, will automatically be converted to a link.

Formatting Text

  • You can make your text italic by surrounding it with * characters, *like this.*
  • Bold formatting is produced by surrounding your text with two stars, **like so**.
  • You can even ***use both at the same time***.

Lists

  • You can make a bulleted list using stars, like this:

    * First Item
    * Second Item
    * Third Item

  • If you want a numbered list, just write it out like this:
    1. First Item
    2. Second Item
    3. Third Item

Headings

You can produce headers for your posts using the '#' symbol.
  • '#Main Heading Example' produces a top level heading.
  • '##Sub Heading Example' produces a sub level heading.
  • '###Small Heading Example' produces a small heading.
