Hi Lorna,

I notice that your products are mainly geared towards women. Have you heard of VEINsmart producing any significant results in men suffering from varicocele?

I've been researching different types of Traditional Chinese Medecine and Ayurvedic Medicine and came up with a few notable formulas, Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan in particular. Can this be combined with VEINsmart since they have different active ingredients or should they be used separately?

Also, have there been any studies conducted on VEINsmart that confirm the product's effectiveness? If so, can you please provide me with the link(s)? It would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

A man desperately searching for a non-surgical solution

Veinsmart works fantastic in men. We market to women as they are the ones who are more commonly affected by varicose veins but men get varicose veins and hemorrhoids too. We will post all the studies for Veinsmart here in the forum. This formula is a drug in Europe to treat varicose veins, lymphadema, spider veins, edema, and heavy, swollen legs due to poor circulation. If you are over 180 pounds you should increase the dose of Veinsmart to 4 a day. Yes you can take the herbs mentioned above with Veinsmart but you should not have to. You won't know which product is working and you don't want to stay on all those herbs longterm unless you have to ....saving money is important too.

P.S. all my products except menosmart Plus can be taken by men.

I also wanted to know if you have diabetes or prediabetic syndrome as varicocele's don't heal well in diabetics or those with elevated blood sugar. If so you need Glucosmart with Chirositol to deal with the blood sugar issues. And if you are overweight you need to lose weight fast. Read my book A Smart Woman's (men too) Guide to Weight Loss.

Hi Lorna,

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I just picked up a bottle of VEINsmart at the GNC today and can't wait to start using it. I have been testing a similar product for the past month or so and have seen noticeable results. Since I recently ran out, I decided to give VEINsmart a try. My previous pills only contained Butcher's Broom, Horse Chestnut, Hesperidin, and Rutin; so I'm curious to see how my body will react to the addition of Diosmin.

I have read that Diosmin should not be used for more than 3 months without medical supervision. Is this true?

And to answer your questions above:

  • I weigh approximately 160 lbs.
  • No diabetes
  • No elevated blood sugar

I had a complete blood work and urinalysis conducted in January, and the results came back normal. I am, however, a long time hemorrhoids sufferer so I'm hoping this will provide some relief in that area as well. Just in case you're wondering, I have already made considerable dietary changes: lots of water, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, etc. I also significantly reduced my consumption of dairy and red meat. I could use more physical activity though, but winter doesn't help.

And thanks for the links SMARTgirl. Much appreciated!

I almost forgot to ask, should I be taking 3 VEINsmart capsules per day with one meal? Or is it more effective to ingest a single capsule with each meal throughout the day? I assume that spreading them out will help the body maintain a more adequate level in the bloodstream. What do you suggest?

No problem!

I have a suggested if you suffer from frequent hemorrhoids - check out the squatty potty! http://squattypotty.com/

There is a video you can watch about it - but having your knees up greatly reduces the stress on your puborectalis muscle and sphincter.

The research studies using Veinsmart were performed for longer than a year. There is no concern using Diosmin for more than 3 months. You will also notice on many products licensed in Canada that the government is requiring warnings on the label that are not based on any scientific literature. There are some products that will have more warnings than they will have info on the ingredient. Hemorrhoids are a varicose vein in the anus. Veinsmart works very well for that type of varicose vein. If you suffer from constipation you should have your thyroid checked. Make sure your TSH thyroid test is below 2.0 as anything above this will cause gridlock constipation. You can take all three capsules at once with a meal.

Creating links

There are two ways of creating links:
  • [Example](http://www.example.com) produces a link like this: Example
  • The fully qualified address, like http://www.example.com, will automatically be converted to a link.

Formatting Text

  • You can make your text italic by surrounding it with * characters, *like this.*
  • Bold formatting is produced by surrounding your text with two stars, **like so**.
  • You can even ***use both at the same time***.

Lists

  • You can make a bulleted list using stars, like this:

    * First Item
    * Second Item
    * Third Item

  • If you want a numbered list, just write it out like this:
    1. First Item
    2. Second Item
    3. Third Item

Headings

You can produce headers for your posts using the '#' symbol.
  • '#Main Heading Example' produces a top level heading.
  • '##Sub Heading Example' produces a sub level heading.
  • '###Small Heading Example' produces a small heading.
