I am looking for some advice

Hello,

I am a 24 year old woman and I have been suffering with endometriosis pains for the past 3 years. Initially, the doctors thought it was due to a fibroid, which I do have on my left side of the pelvis. I had MRI done and it showed that the fibroid was about 3 centimiters, and my OBGYN suggested not to take it out. I also have a cyst in my breast, and it was determined to be benign after the biopsy last year.

Last month I visited my OBGYN again to follow up with her regarding the pains I was experiencing, as I thought they were related to the fibroid. She told me that the chronic pelvic pain is due to endometriosis. I have been taking Estrosmart since 2009, but the pain is still on and off, and I was forced to take strong medicine to cope with the pain. My doctor prescribed me birth control pills to see if it will diminish the pelvic pain. I have researched and read a bit about endometriosis causes, side effects and I realized more and more that this might be the cause of all the pain. The doctors do not know for sure if I have endometriosis, as I did not have laparoscopy done.

I wanted to ask you what should I do in this situation. Should I have the endometriosis removed and in the same time focus on eliminating the bad estrogen out of my life, increasing healthy nutrition and exercise, as you mentioned in your A-Z book? Or could I work around laparoscopy to eliminate endometriosis?

Thank you for your time,

Ana

Hi Ana, I suggest you have it removed with a very good surgeon who will laser every tiny bit off. Estrosmart has only been available since 2010 so you must have been taking Estrosense. I do not recommend Estrosense anymore as I am no longer associated with it so I can not vouch for it. I also do not recommend milk thistle as it elevates prolactin and can create more problems hormonally. So please go check your bottle and make sure you are taking EstroSMART. You really need to make sure you take Estrosmart everyday. For women with endometriosis and fibroids as well as breast lumps you are estrogen dominant and this has to be kept under control. As too much estrogen in relation to other hormones will cause cells to grow out of control. Some women need 4 Estrosmart per day with food and others will need 6 a day. You will know you have the correct dose when the pain goes away. Also even if you have a laparoscopy and they laser off all the endo it can come back and you are very young. We want to protect your fertility and that is why you must take Estrosmart daily.

Yes you should also be eliminating all the estrogen mimickers from your home. Avoid all soy products and do not take supplements with Maca or red clover as these are estrogenic. Some women get complete relief from endo when they stop eating dairy products. Commercial dairy is estrogenic.

But yes you are correct endo causes pain because every month in response to your hormones the endo bleeds causing pain and inflammation.
